Infant, Toddler, and Preschool Programs
Infant/Toddler Room
Choice of large and small-motor activities, including climbing and jumping; playing with playdough, puzzles and other manipulative toys; sand table and water play; painting and other art activities.
Books, dramatic play, blocks, water, sand, art activities, indoor riding toys, large-motor equipment, rhythm instruments, manipulative toys. Teacher-led circle time: More structured group experience focusing on songs, stories, dancing, music, simple games. Toileting. Outside time: In play yards for swings, slides, exploration, and riding circle for wagons and riding toys.
Preschool Room
Child-directed play in activity areas for fine and gross-motor development, art expression, dramatic play. Focus on pursuit of children's individual interests and abilities and on practicing interpersonal skills. A balance of structured times such as circle-time, songs, stories, movement, games, meal times, bathrooming, and free-play/exploration.
Large outdoor play areas for running, digging, swinging, climbing, sliding, balancing, exploring, gardening; and riding circle for wagons and riding toys.

Preschoolers
7:45 - 9:30 AM Morning arrival / Free play
9:30 - 9:45 AM Calendar & Circle Time.
9:45 - 10:15 AM Snack time & bathroom turns
10:15 AM - 12 PM Outside play in play yards
12:00 - 1:15 PM Group games, Lunch, bathroom turns,free play.
1:00 - 1:15 PM Pick-up for half day children
1:15 - 3:00 PM Nap/Rest/Quiet Activities. Nappers up between 3:00 and 3:30; resters given quiet choice of coloring or reading at 2:30, up at 3:00 for quiet free play at tables/book area; toileting. Teacher-facilitated activities in art, science, alphabet, numbers, music, nature activities, and community building activities.
4:00 PM Snack time.
4:15 - 5:00 PM Free play/pick-up. Indoors or outdoors (weather permitting)

Annual Closings
The Center is open from 7:45 am until 5:00 pm Monday through Friday on a year-round basis. There are fourteen holiday closures per year: Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans' Day, Thanksgiving (2 days), Winter Holiday (3 days), New Year's, Martin Luther King Day, Presidents' Day, Patriots' Day, and Memorial Day.
The Center is open throughout the winter months barring a local snow emergency situation. If the Center will be closed due to weather conditions or any other emergency, a message will be posted on Facebook and a group email will be sent to current members by 7:00 AM. Likewise, in order for us to determine staff needs when there might be a lot of absences, we ask that you notify the Center by 9:00 am if a child will not be attending school that day.
